Trees For Life

The TFL logo was provided by Trees for Life for use on my Blog.  Ahhh that's nice of them isn't it.

The below details were taken from the Trees for Life 2010/2011 Lottery/Raffle book.

Trees for Life - A brief profile

Trees for Life is a not for profit community organisation working in South Australia.  Our programs offer everyone the chance to take an active role in caring for our unique environment.

Through the Tree Scheme farmers, other landholders and community revegetation projects can re-green their land with native species local to their area.  Each season, Trees for Life recruits and supports over 1000 volunteer growers who help to raise over one million (over 1,000,000) seedlings for the landholders.

In our Bush for Life program, over 700 trained volunteers are working to preserve remnant bushland which helps to protect rare and endangered species and maintain food and habitat for our native wildlife.  Bush for life is managing over 310 sites of high conservation significance covering 3500 hectares.

The Direct Seeding program provides broadscale revegetation whit local native seed machine sown directly onto previously cleared land.

Through the Trees for Life Carbon, individuals and businesses can offset their carbon emissions from vehicles, flights and energy use by subscribing to Trees for Life's biodiverse carbon forest sinks.
